By His Blood ~ The Fork in the Road – the Prophet

I remember hearing preachers say for years about “Jesus was technically teaching as a prophet under the law.”  I used to disregard this notion, assuming these people just had no respect for the Scriptures.  In light of the Revelations that I had received in my period I came face to face with this issue and had it resolved once and for all.

I remember around this time, I Contacted a Website, RevivalOrRiots.Org.  They put out an offer for Discipleship, and I had already decided that the fruit in my life from attending the institutional church were no apparently, so I was searching.  I spoke to Ryan for the first time.

I Shared my story with him, and imagine my surprise when he told me that this was not unusual, but more so, it is very common and happening to people all over the world.  He shared some things with me, that at that time, I didn’t have full understanding.  For instance, he would call the Bible the Scriptures, rather than the Word of God, and He talked much about the New Covenant and our Sins being Forgiven.  I had only recently come to understand that our Sins were forgiven, I didn’t really understand much else he was talking about.

Much of what he said, I recognized in my own short period of time with the Lord.  I decided I was going to go through everything on his website.  So I logged into the “Killing Sacred Cows” section and started listening to Everything in a series of teachings.  It tackled everything from the sovereignty of God to How New Covenant Prayer works.  I just remember thinking to myself, “Everything I’ve been taught has been wrong.”

But then I hit the first wall with all this good news and Forgiveness of Sins.

Matthew 18:23 – Matthew 18:35 (KJV)

Therefore is the kingdom of heaven likened unto a certain king, which would take account of his servants. And when he had begun to reckon, one was brought unto him, which owed him ten thousand talents. But forasmuch as he had not to pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, and his wife, and children, and all that he had, and payment to be made. The servant therefore fell down, and worshipped him, saying, Lord, have patience with me, and I will pay thee all. Then the lord of that servant was moved with compassion, and loosed him, and forgave him the debt. But the same servant went out, and found one of his fellowservants, which owed him an hundred pence: and he laid hands on him, and took him by the throat, saying, Pay me that thou owest. And his fellowservant fell down at his feet, and besought him, saying, Have patience with me, and I will pay thee all. And he would not: but went and cast him into prison, till he should pay the debt. So when his fellowservants saw what was done, they were very sorry, and came and told unto their lord all that was done. Then his lord, after that he had called him, said unto him, O thou wicked servant, I forgave thee all that debt, because thou desiredst me: Shouldest not thou also have had compassion on thy fellowservant, even as I had pity on thee? And his lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due unto him. So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.

Fear came over me, as I was suddenly made aware of my own unworthiness, and questions about my forgiveness came into light.  Did I hear wrong?  Were the things I’ve been taught over these days been a lie?  Am I Deceiving myself?

For days I went over the parable in my mind as I was studying every word.  It seemed very clear to me, that If I did not forgive others, I would not be forgive.  Worse, I would be tormented for it.

I could feel the Darkness closing in.  I would fidget and toss and turn at night in torment over the light of this scripture took it effect.

I was in tears on the bed, struggling to balance the scriptures.  On one hand, the writings of Paul about total Forgiveness because of the blood, on the other hand the words of Jesus and my obligation to forgive other or suffer dire consequences.

At eleven o’clock at night, on an obscure Thursday evening, I leapt from my bed, rushed over to the computer, and read the Scripture through for a final time.  My eyes filled with Joy and I started to laugh Hysterically!

The Lord has stirred me to look at the Scriptures once again, but this time he added, “Look at the Order of Events.”

The King firstly deligated authority to the Servant.

Then the King called the Servant to Account.

The King then passed Judgement against the Servant.

The Servant then Begged for Mercy.

Then the King Showed Mercy.

Then the Servant went to a fellow Servant and lay demands.

The fellow servant couldn’t pay, and was delivered to the prison.

The King called the Servant to account for what he had Done

The King then delivered the Servant into the prison to pay all he owed.

It was so clear.  This story could never be talking to a New Covenant Believer, but rather those who were under the Law.  Because only the Jews were delegated anything from God, and hereby were accountable to God.  This is an Old Covenant Parable.

Under the New Covenant the Events look totally different.

God looked at the world with so much love, it took His Breathe Away.

God sent his Son to die, therefore having mercy and forgiving the sins of the Whole World while were yet sinners.

God will call the world to Account for how they have treated his Son.

The difference is profound.  Under the New Covenant, God showed mercy and forgave us FIRST, without any need for us to ask or beg for it.  It was becoming clearer and Clearer, that the dividing line between the Old Covenant and the New Covenant, was not between Matthew and Malachi, rather it was at the Cross, when Blood was Shed.

What about the Lord’s Prayer?  Is that Old Covenant As well?  Does it not say that in order to be forgiven, I Must Forgive Others?

Matthew 6:12  And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

But wait, Paul had written Contrary to this in Ephesians 4:32.

Ephesians 4:32  And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.

Again I started to laugh, as the Holy Spirit revealed the Freedom and liberty that we enjoy in Christ, that had so eluded me all these years.

Over those few Days, between my fellowship with the Lord and the teachings from RevivalOrRiots, I was exposed to the true plague of Christianity, the Mixing of the Two Covenants.  It was as if a Garbage Detector was activated in my heart, and I could spot Old covenant mixing a mile away.

I found it everywhere.  In the Gospel Music that I used to sing, to the messages I used to listen to it.  The Veil was truly gone, and I could never be the same.  I wouldn’t trade the Freedom I have now in Christ for anything.

I also realized something that was profound.  For years I thought I couldn’t hear the voice of God.  When I did hear things, it was always contrary to what conventional church leaders were saying.  I came to realize, in the New Covenant, I had been hearing Him All Along, and I Could Trust that Voice, even if everyone else was saying something different.

I have never felt so Free or so much Love for Christ.  At the same time, I have never been more burdened to set people from the mixed covenants in Christianity that is taught, that people can come to know the Freedom in Christ and walk on the earth, doing good, as Manifest Sons of God
