“The Holy Spirit shows up in Person, not in Portion.” – Brook Potter
When the God-head decided to create offspring to share in their fellowship, they didn’t start by making man, rather they started by creating everything else that man would ever need to live and fulfill his purpose upon the earth. God was a Good Father providing for his Children Even before they had knowledge of the need. This ultimately expressed when God made Eve for Adam, fulfilling a need that Adam probably didn’t even know he had. It is the heart of any true Father to provide for his Children.
As I’ve stated earlier, how do you get two perfect people to fall? You get them to question their Identity, or create an artificial lack they must do something to fulfil. That was the essence of the Lie that Satan told Eve, to get her to indulge in the fruit of the knowledge of Good and Evil.
The idea that we are lacking something permeates the church today. Conferences are filled with people trying to get an impartation, an Anointing, a Mantle or the latest book that will give them that something that they feel is lacking. Yet all the while, the Father has been Good to his Children, and has Already given us (Past Tense) everything we need for life and Godliness. (2 Peter 1:3) It is not a process of growing into all that we already have.
How many of us have gone from conference to conference, trying to get a touch from the man of God, some impartation, only to find life continue as normal afterwards? After all the books and sermons we have listened to know, how much has any of that stuff worked to produce the life of miracles and power we desire? Even for those who may have had some miraculous experiences happen at retreats or events, how many of us continue to walk in them after the events have finished?
There are few that do carry on, but most of us get burned out from the conference hopping and the latest book club, and resolve ourselves to an ordinary life. All the while not believing that God is a Good Father and the simple truth of the bible, Ephesians 1:3 ¶Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ.
The bible is not trying to trick us. All Spiritually Blessings really does mean All, because the Spirit is the Spirit of God himself, in whom there is no lack, and through whom you can do All things. (Philippians 4:13) But as Long as the enemy can convince you that you need someone to lay hands on you, or you need to get that special anointing oil from Israel, or any other menagerie of distractions to keep you chasing for something you already have, you’ll never learn to walk in the reality of your completeness in Christ, right now!
