By His Blood – True Holiness

“The only people who Paul called stupid are those who got saved by faith, but though they went onto perfection by doing good.” – Paul White

Satan is an expert of getting people to chase their own tail. Many believers are still caught in a cycle of trying to get something that they already have. They are asking for anointing, that they already have (1 John 2:27), they are asking for more of the Holy Spirit, which shows up in person, not in portion, which they already have (2 Corinthians 1:22). They are hungering and thirsting after Righteousness, which they already have (Romans 5:19 ), and Jesus said those who come to him will never hunger and thirst again? (John 6:35)

Believers have been ignorant and blinded by the truth of the Gospel, and the Finished Work of the Cross, and they always fall victim to the same lie Satan seduced eve with in the Garden; that we are lacking something, and we must do something to get it.

I still remember the words of a Pastor we met in California, he quoted this very popular minister by saying “We have the Righteousness of God, but now we must work on the our Holiness.” Fortunately we cleared up this misconception very quickly, and showed him how, by the sacrifice of Christ, we have already been Made Holy. And because we didn’t do that to ourselves, nothing could undo it. So we can stop trying to chase shadows, and start ministering to the Lost.

My Brother Pete Cabrera Jr, stepped up and explained that under the old Covenant, the Ark of the Covenant represented God’s presence on the Earth. Anyone who touched it, would be instantly killed, even if they had Good intentions (2 Samuel 6:6 – 7), because the Ark was Holy and anything unclean would be instantly killed. Fast Forward tot he New Covenant trust, Where does the presence of God live Now? He Lives in Us. So why aren’t we Dead? Technically we are, the old Adamic Man died, and we have been born again as a Holy Habitation through Christ.

Hebrews 10:10 (New Living Translation) For God’s will was for us to be made holy by the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ, once for all time.

The objective truth is that by the Sacrifice of Christ, Humanity has been made Holy. When we agree with that fact, that truth becomes our subjective reality (Hebrews 10:14).  So what is True Holiness?  It is Agreeing with the Holy Spirit, that you ARE Holy already.  Faith in that truth will manifest holiness in your life.

How is God Holy? Is he holy because he doesn’t smoke? Is He Holy Because He doesn’t cuss or watch R-rated Movies? No, of course not. Even before Sin or Creation existed, God was Holy. Holiness mean uniqueness, to be set apart, which God certainly is, there is no one or anything like Him in all existence. God is Unique. Holiness is part of His Nature. And Guess What, when the Holy God indwelt his Living temple, you became Holy, because there is no one else who can express that Union with God like you. You are One Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:17), and you become Holy by Nature.

Under the New Covenant, we are not called to fix ourselves, we have already been fixed. We are to take our eyes off ourselves, and fix them on Jesus and believe what he says about us is true. By Faith in what He says, our lives are transformed, and we manifest righteousness, holiness, and all of the God-life through us by the power of the Spirit. It is effortless and natural because all you are doing is being who you really are. We can now stop chasing, and start believing.

  1. Does that mean we don’t play a part in living holy? Then what does Paul means when he tells believers in 2 Corinthians 6:17-18 and chapter 7:1
Having the promise of living a holy life, we are to cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

    We don’t play a role?
God had made us holy ! yes but does it end there? Can we just live anyhow and still be fine? Or there’s an expectation on us to manifest the life within so men can testify of what has transpired inside of us?
